2007-08-UltraTrailMontBlanc
Incredibly beautiful and instant-classic race through the Alps of France, Italy and Switzerland, circling Mont Blanc. The 2007 race was blessed by great weather. About 1/4 of the photos were taken by my friend Bob (in pics). UTMB was unique for Bob and me. Bob signed up for the wrong race, but was determined to run the full UTMB. We decided to run together, stuffed my drop bags with both our gear, and I got water/food for both of us at all aid stations. Thus, Bob ran his first 100-miler as a bandit, through 3 countries, and I raced, paced, and crewed all at the same time :-) We had 11 people from the Boulder CO area for the event, running UTMB, CCC or just out for fun.
